The name of Oscar Valladares’ The Woody brings to mind a majestic tree in a rugged, unforgiving forest, and ‘majesty’ is certainly what springs to mind at first glance of this massive cigar. Measuring at 21 inches long, it’s the length of three Churchill-size cigars strung together, and its 80 ring gauge is the largest to ever hit the shelves at City Cigar.
In terms of its content, The Woody is a Honduran puro with four wrapper leaves, four binder leaves, and a huge handful of filler tobacco that results in a roughly six hour smoking duration. It was modelled after Oscar Valladares’ Leaf By Oscar Corojo, which means a lot of spicy and peppery notes with some nutty and earthy flavours in there as well.
